How can I check if my HTC supports unlocking by IMEI?

Prior purchasing you must check if your HTC phone is SIM locked!
For all HTC Models (but not Incredible 2):
- Insert a different network SIM card into your HTC and see if the unlock code screen is displayed. Do NOT purchase an unlock code if your phone doesn't display this unlocking screen; if you still order you will NOT be eligible for a refund.
For Incredible 2:
1. Insert a SIM of a different carrier;
2. Access the SIM Lock from the Settings menu.
If you are NOT asked for the code please do NOT place an order!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
- Some HTC models have the antenna in the battery cover. Be sure to try with the battery cover on!
- There are some networks (e.g. Softbank - Japan) that alter the firmware of the phones and the unlocking window is not displayed as usual. Unfortunately there is no other possibility to enter the code. If this is your case we cannot help you.

When I insert a different network SIM card I can see the message :
This sim card is not valid. Please insert Verizon sim card. Device will be set to CDMA mode by default. Close.
Is this the unlock code screen ?
WHEN I PUT THE ATT SIM IN THE PHONE IT IS TELLING ME TO ACTVATE IT HOW AND THE SIM IS ACTVATED ?

HTC Thunderbolt it is a CDMA/LTE700 phone. The SIM slot it is used for LTE (NOT for GSM). Although unlocked your Thunderbolt will not work with standard GSM networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile,..)!
